Kate, you are correct, Tiger's original name is Eldrick, Arnold Palmer is indeed known as The King, and Jack Nicklaus is The Golden Bear.
Rae--good job! You also correctly identified Tiger, The King, and The Golden Bear. You even went one step further, and linked the nickname Chi Chi to the the guy with the Hispanic name, Juan Rodriguez.
Partial credit is also in order for linking Craig Stadler and Greg Norman to aquatic-creature nicknames. Greg Norman is The Shark--he's from Australia where they have Great White Sharks. Craig Stadler looks rather like a walrus.
The funniest misses were your guesses for Tim Herron (Lumpy). It is difficult to refer to him as The Black Night with a straight face. He is also as white as you can get, so Chi Chi just doesn't fly.
